Discussions on the achievement of the targets of the 90-90-90 objectives

“National dialogue on civil society involvement in accelerating the response to HIV” was the theme that brought civil society actors together at a workshop organized by UNAIDS on 03 March 2019. The latter met to discuss the progress made in achieving the targets of the 90-90-90 objectives in Cameroon as well as the analysis of programmatic and financial gaps related to the mapping of implementation actors at the civil society level. It also discussed an analysis of bottlenecks in CSO contributions to priority areas of the HIV response in Cameroon and proposed corrective actions to be implemented, including technical assistance needs for the period 2019 – 2020. Participants reached a consensus among civil society actors on bottleneck analysis, remedial actions and CSOs’ contribution to accelerating the response to the epidemic by the end of 2020. They developed a roadmap for CSO contributions in priority areas and areas to accelerate the response to HIV, including monitoring the implementation of interventions, monitoring recommendations to stakeholders and monitoring technical support for the period 2019-2020.
